Smiles for Life   Callander Bay Dental Centre has raised over $250,000.00

What is Smiles for Life?
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children's charity organization of the Crown Council, a dedicated group of caring dentists. Crown Council dentists participating in the Smiles for Life campaign offer professional teeth whitening services at a considerably reduced price; 100% of this is donated to Smiles for Life to help children facing serious health conditions and educational deficiencies.

Since 1998, we’ve raised over $27 million, benefiting hundreds of children’s charities.  When you pay for your whitening, you’ll write your cheque directly to the Smiles For Life Foundation, not to the dental practice.  Fifty percent of the donations are earmarked for each dental practice’s local charity partner, and the balance goes to the Smiles for Life Foundation to be distributed to worthy and approved children’s charities across the U.S. and Canada. 

Funds raised in Canada stay in Canada.

The Team at Callander Bay Dental Centre has chosen Rotary for Kids as their local children’s charity to annually receive 50% of all Smiles for Life donations collected at CBDC. The remaining 50% goes to Team Mates for Kids to support Canadian Children’s Charities like Camp Trillium and Sick Kids Foundation in Toronto.  Since 1998, the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Foundation has raised over $27 million, benefiting hundreds of children’s charities across North America and the world.

Our role with this foundation
The team at Callander Bay Dental Centre is committed to becoming better community partners and their participation in Smiles for Life since 1999 has proven to be a very effective method of fulfilling this sincere commitment. The Annual Smiles for Life Campaign provides participants the opportunity to professionally whiten their teeth for a reduced fee and receive a tax deductible receipt for 100% of their donation. The professionals at C.B.D.C. donate their time, skills and materials to produce the custom fit trays for the participants’ smile whitening kits. We all smile as the precious funds raised improve oral health and whiten the smiles of the participants and significantly brighten the lives of children in need!
To date the team’s enthusiasm and dedication to the Annual Smiles for Life Campaign has raised over $250,000.00. February, 2008 Garth Brooks honored the consistent top ten fund raising teams, of which C.B.D.C has qualified since 1999, with a live performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee.
