![]() Dr. Mario Lemay - Dentist
Dr. Mario Lemay, a 1994 Laval University graduate and retired military dentist, purchased Callander Bay Dental Centre in February of 2006.He is the very proud father of University of Guelph Veterinary student Karren and his son; Yannick, who is training in heavy machinery to work with contractors. Mario also excels academically and has obtained degrees in science and psychology. He is also a snowboard enthusiast and instructor. ("gotta have some fun!") Mario appreciates the exceptional professionalism of the entire team at Callander Bay Dental Centre. His desire to provide unique services such as "All on Four" and "Sleep Apnea" lead him to study in Lisbon, Portugal; Seattle, Washington; and San Diego, California. Patient care is his priority and philosophy. His French heritage and bilingualism brings a multi-cultural flair and fun to the practice. ![]() Dr. Kristin Hodge - Dentist
Dr. Kristin Hodge is thrilled to be back up North! After spending nine years in London, Ontario completing her schooling and beginning her career; she and her family are happy to be home.
Kristin and her husband Bill recently welcomed their first daughter Leah; sister to proud, big brother Elliott. Kristin obtained her dental degree as well as a BSc. Honours in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Having grown up in North Bay and Corbeil, Kristin feels right at home in her new community of Callander. She is very proud to be the newest member of the wonderful team at Callander Bay Dental Centre. Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading a good mystery novel and travelling. ![]() Dr. Gajan Kulkarni - Pedodontist
Dr. Gajanan Kulkarni is presently a Professor of Dentistry at the University of Toronto. He first obtained his M.Sc. degree and followed that with a specialty diploma in Pediatric Dentistry and a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto. He is presently a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. His duties as a full-time academic include teaching of undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate dental students. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Kulkarni is actively involved in research. He has published numerous papers in the fields of clinical and basic dental research. Along with his academic career, Dr. Kulkarni passionately enjoys working as a Pediatric Dentist tending mainly to children with special needs. Dr. Kulkarni strongly advocates early and regular visits for the prevention of dental disease and for the optimal growth and development of the jaws and dentition. Dr. Kulkarni provides the full range of dental treatment for children starting as early as six months of age right into adolescence and including braces. He is trained in providing care for children using various forms of sedation and working with a certified anaesthesiologist, can provide comprehensive treatment for children while they are asleep. Dr. Kulkarni is an avid photographer, world traveller and outdoorsman, enjoying both summer and winter sports with his family.
![]() Dr. Remi Morin - Dentist
Born and raised in Kapuskasing, Dr. Rémi Morin is glad to be back up north to join the team at Callander Bay Dental Centre after graduating from Dentistry at the University of Montreal. Before undertaking Dentistry in Montreal, Rémi graduated with an honours degree in Biology at Laurentian University in Sudbury.The youngest of three, he enjoys spending time with his family and his three little nieces; Cloé, Audrée and Molly. During his free time, Rémi enjoys catching up with his friends, jogging, travelling and spending time outdoors. Rémi is excited to start his career with the dynamic team of professionals at Callander Bay Dental Centre and is looking forward to explore the wonderful city of North Bay! ![]() Suzanne Harmony - Office Manager
Suzanne's experience and exceptional communication skills are a crutial contribution to the success and continuous growth of this uniquely forward-moving practice. Thrilled to be life partner to Dr. Mario Lemay, Suzanne lovingly embraces the shared responsibilities of balancing a happy, healthy family life with the ongoing exciting experiences of the Callander Bay Dental Centre as Office Manager. Her book, "Leap of Faith... From Fear to Fulfillment," serves as a companion and guide to all who are ready to embrace the thrill of living their dreams and desires. New pastime: spoiling her granddaughter, Jernie. ![]() Nancy Vincent - Treatment Coordinator
Nancy has more than 20 years experience in the field of dentistry and business. She has recently joined the Callander Bay Dental team as our Treatment Coordinator and plays an important role in working with her clients as individuals and encourages their input into their dental health. Dental well being is individual to each client and communication is essential in recognizing their needs and wishes. Dentistry aside, her zeal lies in family, good friends, sunny vacations, and quilting (even though she's just a beginner!) Nancy is married and has 2 adult children learning to carve their niche in life! ![]() Kim Boulanger - Office Administrator
Kim was born and raised with her older brother in North Bay, Ontario. She has three beautiful nieces; Chelsea, Keisha, and Destiny, and one nephew, Malcolm. She graduated from Ecole Secondaire Algonquin in 1998 and is completely bilingual. In 2002, she obtained her Dental Assisting Level 1 and Level II diploma from Canadore College. In her spare time, Kim enjoys movies, cooking and going out for dinner; as well as, spending time with her friends and family, playing volleyball, baseball, and rollerblading. She is also very fond of camping and outdoor activities. Kim joined the Callander Bay Dental Team in May of 2010 and thoroughly enjoys her dental receptionist/assistant duties. She feels very blessed to have found such a great dental team and amazing work environment. ![]() Missy Atkins - Business Administrator/Dental Assistant
Melissa (Missy) was born in Barrie, Ontario and moved to North Bay when she was five years old. She has a brother, two step sisters and four loving parents. Missy graduated from Widdifield Secondary School in 2006 and then went on to Algonquin College to study Pre-Health Sciences. She continued her education in North Bay at Canadore College where she obtained her Dental Assisting Levels I and II Diploma with honours. Missy enjoys spending her time with her boyfriend Brad, their yellow lab Abby, and her friends and family. She also enjoys reading, camping, and going to the gym. Callander Bay Dental warmly welcomed Missy and her calm, confident, easy going nature to our team in June 2009. ![]() Lisa Boivin - Business Administrator/Marketing
Born in Sudbury and raised in Timmins, Lisa is a true lover of the North. After graduating from the Music Theatre Program at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, she worked as a performer in Muskoka, Toronto and right here in North Bay with the Nipissing Stage Company. In 2006 Lisa decided to change her career path and enrolled in the Advertising/Creative Media program at Canadore College. Lisa is thrilled to join the Callander Bay Dental Team and use her newly acquired marketing skills to help them soar to even higher heights! While Lisa is away from the office you can find her singing with her jazz band After Hours, performing with the 22 Wing Band at CFB North Bay and on or behind the stage with the Gateway Theatre Guild. North Bay is a beautiful city, brimming with kind, fun, creative and noble people. Lisa considers herself very blessed to be living among them. ![]() Karen Luckett - Business Administrator
Karen was born in Elliot Lake and raised in Spanish, a small town west of Sudbury with her older sister and two younger brothers. She began working in the dental field in 1980 honing her skills as a Chair-side Dental Assistant, Receptionist, and Hygiene Coordinator. Karen, her husband Brian and their two children, Jessica and Trevor enjoy watching movies, going out for dinner and spending time at the beach. Jessica will soon graduate from Nipissing University with her B.Sc. in Nursing and Trevor is at College Boreal studying to become a computer System Technician. Karen enjoys music, dancing, word games, cross-stitching, and reading. ![]() Deb Luckett - Hygienist
Deb was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario. Growing up the eldest of nine, Deb's adaptable personality has enabled her to connect with all the people who both work at and visit our office. No one leaves her chair without a smile on their face. Deb loves to attend professional development and team building workshops and has participated in many during her 30+ years as a Dental Hygienist with Callander Bay Dental Centre. Deb and her husband Doug have 3 sons. Eric, Steve, and Jeff are all currently studying at the University of Western Ontario in London. All five, are passionate about health and fitness. As a family, they participate in the many organized fundraising running and triathlon events in North Bay. They also are avid cyclists, skiers, and YMCA members. ![]() Sharon Rivet - Hygienist
Sharon was born and raised in Sturgeon Falls. After several years working in sales and management, she decided to switch careers to dentistry. In 1988 she graduated and started her new career here at Callander Bay Dental Centre. Sharon, her husband Joff, and their son Liam enjoy watching movies, biking, cooking, sports, and entertaining friends and family around their pool. Some of Sharon's favourite sports teams include; the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and then San Francisco 49'ers. She also spends quality time with her dad Roger, who still resides in Sturgeon Falls. In 2008, Sharon won the hygienist of the year award in Nashville, TN. She takes great pride in being part of such a wonderful and caring team! By sharing her knowledge, Sharon truly believes her work here helps patients understand dentistry so that they can make the best choices to become healthier. ![]() Nikki Kirkby - Hygienist
Nikki was born in the small town of Englehart, Ontario and raised with her older brother and sister in the tri-towns area. She is a 2005 high-school graduate of Temiskaming District Secondary School. From there she studied Dental Assisting at Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario. She returned home to the tri-towns and worked in Dental offices there as a Certified Dental Assistant until 2007 when she was accepted in the Dental Hygiene program at Canadore College. She graduated from this program in 2009 with honours! Her impressive work ethics and enthusiasm for her career brought her to join our forward moving team at Callander Bay Dental Centre in early April, 2010. She now lives in North Bay with her boyfriend, Francis and his daughter Ashley. She enjoys jogging, rollerblading, walking and snow-boarding. ![]() Megan Sykes - Dental Assistant
Megan was born in May 1990 and grew up in North Bay, Ontario with her two older sisters. She graduated from Canadore College's Level II Dental Assisting program in May 2010 and has been working in this field ever since then. She joined the dynamic team of professionals at Callander Bay Dental Centre in August 2010. Her youthfulness brings bellows of laughter to our lunch-time conversations; yet, it does not reflect in her excellent chair-side assisting skills. She is a huge "Family" person and she enjoys working-out at the fitness centre and playing sports such as: basketball, baseball and soccer. ![]() Morgan Smith - Hygienist/Dental Assistant
Morgan is a typical country girl. She grew up in Callander with her mom, stepdad, and older sister Nicki. She enjoys all the country activities such as four wheeling, fishing, and camping. In her spare time she enjoys club volleyball and competitive cheerleading. Morgan attended Algonquin College where she obtained her Dental Assisting Level II certificate and Dental Hygiene Diploma, both with honors. Currently she is enjoying living with her boyfriend Matt and their chocolate lab, Mogley. Morgan is a huge family girl, loving all four parents, sister, stepbrother and step sister. Recently Morgan became an aunt to a beautiful baby girl who has Morgan wrapped around her finger. ![]() Lisa Hall - Dental Assistant
Lisa grew up in Powassan, with her parents and her older sister, Lindsay. After graduating from St. Joseph Scollard Hall, with honours, Lisa traveled to Switzerland to study French at Université de Genève. While there, she worked as an au pair for a year.After returning to Canada, she enrolled at Algonquin College in Ottawa where she completed a 2-year diploma in Travel and Tourism. With this education, she had the great opportunity to work at a 5-star all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico for a year. Lisa continued to travel the world while working for 2 different cruise line companies. She has sailed to Alaska, the Caribbean, Central and Southern America through the Panama Canal, and Europe. Lisa enrolled at Algonquin College in September 2010 to pursue her dream of being in the Dental field. She graduated from Dental Assisting Levels I and II with honours and is really excited about being a part of the Callander Bay Dental Centre team! In her spare time, Lisa enjoys being active; spending time with friends and family, and guess what else... travelling! ![]() Jennifer Rowe - Hygienist/Dental Assistant
Jen was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario with her older brother Chris. She feels very fortunate to have two loving parents, John and Laurie.After graduating from Chippewa Secondary School with honours and a French certificate, she continued her education at Canadore College. She completed Dental Assisting Levels I and II, and Dental Hygiene, both with honours. She is very excited to be part of Callander Bay Dental and start her career in the dental field. In her spare time, Jen enjoys putting in community service hours playing with the North Bay 22 Wing Military Band and the JOY Band. She recently went on a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; she is looking forward to future trips and exploring the world around her. She also enjoys playing soccer, spending time on the water and being surrounded by friends and family. |
